Using Car Stereo Equipment in my home?

I have a nice car stereo which I would like to keep and use in my home, however i'm not sure how to power the head unit.. I believe that I would need a 12Volt power supply, but know nothing more about it.. Could someone please advise me what i should be doing to get this working? There are six wires on the back of the head unit (excluding speaker wires) 1 x yellow, 1 x red 1 x orange 1 x blue 2 x black. What are all these wires for? Any advice on a 12volt power supply? what do i do with these wires once I get the power supply?
