I just finished antibiotics for a UTI a couple of days ago, I took ciprofloxacin for 6 and a half days. I was prescribed it for 7 but it was making me so nauseous.. and my dr said most infections are cleared up within 3-5, so I stopped taking it. I went to the dr pretty quickly after I felt symptoms of the UTI. It wasn't really a painful UTI, but I noticed things floating around in my urine. He did a test and sent it to the lab and he said I did have one, so apparently the antibiotics I took were effective. I really hope that those 6 days worth did the trick, I only really missed one pill, but you never know.. so it is a possibility that its a recurring UTI.

I don't know if I have ever had a yeast infection before. I do experience vaginal itching quite often, especially when I'm wearing tight fitting pants. I also have clumping discharge. I always have discharge though, and I have had pap tests regularly and my dr has never said anything about it, even though I have told her about the discharge. I don't know if she ever checked me for a yeast infection, however do they come and go?

At the moment, I only feel a burning feeling in my urethra. I have some clumping discharge, I also just finished my period so I don't know if that has anything to do with it. It doesn't hurt to pee, my pee doesn't smell bad and it isn't cloudy. I don't have an urgency to pee either. I have been off antibiotics for 4 days now. I've been feeling this for the past 2-3 days. It comes and goes, i cant tell if I'm dehydrated or what is going on.

Maybe this was a bunch of useless information, but I'm really curious to know if I should be going back asap to a dr for a UTI or if I can make an appointment to get checked for yeast infection. The only dr around me right now is a clinic, who always has a male dr. that i see, and is also the dr who prescribed me the last antibiotics, however i feel uncomfortable going to see him, especially if he does want to check for a yeast infection.

If anybody could give me some advice that would be great.
