Im a vegetarian but this confuses me, ive been reading all up about various things like stages of vegetarianism (if thats a word haha)
And Ive heard of ones who dont drink milk, eat only egg white, nothing like jelly beans which contain gellitain etc or none at all
Then ive heard of others that eat fish but only specifically one, is this right?
Surely a person would be pescitarian? (sorry bad spelling) but if that person doesnt eat meat, or anything containing milk or egg, but still eats one specifit type, lets say i dunno cod or tuna? what does that make them? :S
I myself am i vege, dont eat egg yolk i still drink milk, and i used to eat tuna, but now do not.
Finally i know LOADS of vegetarians that take fish oil supplements, arent these from a fish? hence the name? so whats with that?
lol long question sorry|!
I do not eat fish, actually.

A vegetarian doesn't eat meat or fish. Or anything derived from animals such as gelatine. They do however eat dairy products.

A vegan doesn't eat any animal products, including dairy...and usually doesn't wear leather or use products tested on animals.

A person who eats fish but not meat is a piscarian. (That may be spelt wrong). If you eat fish you are definitely not a vegetarian despite what many people say.

Lacto-ovo vegetarians are vegetarians who consume no animal flesh, including chicken and fish, but still consume dairy products and eggs.

People who eat milk and dairy and who consume no animal flesh except chicken and/or fish are neither vegetarians nor pescatarians. They simply do not eat red meat.

People who consume no animal flesh except fish (doesn't matter what the fish is, lol) are not vegetarians at all, but pescatarians.

People who don't eat any animal flesh, including chicken and fish, who don't eat any dairy products or eggs, and who abstain from anything derived from animals such as honey or gelatin are vegans. Vegans also do not use or wear things that are made of leather, fur, wool, feathers, or anything else. In essence a vegan uses nothing that has any tiny ingredient that has come from an animal in any way, even in things such as cosmetics, household cleaners, and the like.

Just remember that any person claiming to be any sort of vegetarian but who still eats a creature that was once alive, like chicken or fish, are NOT vegetarians in any sense.

Pescotarian: Eats all plants; fish; honey; dairy and egg. Nothing from a land or bird animal including by-products.
Lacto-ovo-vegetarian: Eats all plants; dairy; egg and honey. Doesn't eat by-products.
Ovo-vegetarian: Same as a Lacto-ovo-vegetarian but doesn't eat dairy.
Lacto-vegetarian: Same as a Lacto-ovo-vegetarian but doesn't eat egg.
Vegan: Eats ONLY plant products.
Honey-vegan: Eats ONLY plant products and honey.
Fruitarian: Eats only fruit that comes off a plant without killing it.
Raw vegan: Eats a vegan diet but only in a raw form.

Those are the only ones I can think off.
