Verizon late on dividend payments?

Verizon was supposed to pay a dividend on Nov. 1. I haven't received it yet, and my broker says that's because Verizon hasn't paid it to the brokerage yet. Has this happened to anyone else? Or is my broker mistaken?
Mike: No, I've owned the stock for years.
 
Did you purchase your stock before October 6th? If not, you will not get a dividend.
