A safety net failure claimed the life of a man entertaining people at a Scott May’s Daredevil Stunt Show on Monday in the United Kingdom. The daredevil that died was doing a human cannonball stunt. With the safety net failing, he crashed to the ground and died of his injuries. The man has been identified as Matt Cranch. He was 23 years old.
Video of a similar human cannonball stunt can be seen below. (This obviously isn’t the video of the actual stunt that killed Matt Cranch.)
After the accident, Matt Cranch was airlifted to a local hospital. Investigators are currently looking into how and why the net failed.
