Ron Artest will be suspended for a clothesline at the end of Game 2. As the Los Angeles Lakers were in the process of losing by a final score of 93-81, Ron Artest clotheslined J.J. Barea of the Dallas Mavericks. While the exact suspension details have yet to be announced, even Lakers head coach Phil Jackson admitted that Artest is going to have to serve a suspension.
Artest’s clothesline, video of which you can see below, was ill-timed — to say the least. The Lakers are down 0-2 in the best of seven series against the Mavs. In Game 3, Los Angeles faces a must win situation and they’ll be without their starting small forward in Artest.

Game 3 is on Friday in Dallas.
