If you have a truly helpful answer only, please answer this (no guesses.. I really need help with this and can not find it online after days of searching)...
My computer goes directly into Startup Repair which ends in it being unable to repair automatically. The problem signature shows some of the following results:
Event Name: StartupRepairV2
Problem Signature 01: AutoFailover
03: 6
04: 2031647
05 and 06: CorruptFile
09: SystemRestore
If you need more info, let me know...
Can I fix this myself without restoring to factory settings? I have pics and info that was not saved since the last time I did it and I need that info. I would like to try everything possible before losing all of that. It is irreplaceable.
My computer is only a year old and came with Vista installed, so there is no installation disk. It will not get past Startup Repair to even go to the desktop.
