My boyfriend works on the Coral Princess and I want to surprise him by going on a cruise to see him. Does anyone know what the companies policy is for visitors onboard? Does he have to get permission to spend time with me when he isn't working (like staying with me in my cabin *wink*)? any information would help!

thanks!

From what I hear the crew member would need to inform his department head, in order to get permission to be in your cabin. Depending on his position/privilege onboard, he would not be able to hang you with you in public areas. (Was told so by a crew member onboard another Princess ship, which had his girl friend come for a cruise)

If he would get caught in your cabin without having permission, he could get in trouble. (look then like he is having something going on with a passenger, which is a no go)

I can imagine the surprise part would be nice - but I would just surprise him with the fact, that you will come on a cruise and then he can prepare everything to be able to be in your cabin when not working.
