Volks Dollfie Newbie - Head Help!?

Hi there! I'm new to the BJD world and I'm starting out with a 27 cm vinyl Dollfie.

Here's the lovely man I ordered:

I've already got all I need to customize him (hair, rooting needle, paints, the works).

Now, to my question:
I'm nervous about removing his head so I can root his hair. Anybody familiar with how Dollfie heads are fixed onto the body? I've only been able to find Dollfie Dream examples.

Is a 27 cm Dollfie's head removed in a similar fashion?

Any help would be great!
 
Hi,

With regard to your post & question: The dollfie shown is an excellent N type. That means that the head is soft vinyl and you can easily pull it off. Do so by gently grasping it and firmly but slowly pulling upward (occasionally they will pop the neck joint out with it but you can easily pop it back in when that happens).

One thing to be aware of is that the excellent, beauty & dollfie plus figures are not BJDS (ball jointed dolls which are constructed differently than the 1:6 dollfies). The link you posted to the dollfie dream is for a body which is constructed somewhat differently.

Another place where you can find help is the Lunar Ark doll forum which is geared towards the 1:6 scale dollfies & obitsu figures.
