I have a 1972 VW bug It doesn't start, I have it on TDC Ive put fuel on the carb because I havent hooked up the gastank. I just want to start it to make sure everything works right. battery is good alternator is good but ive been trying to start it a lot of times and the coil got hot. Im not sure if im getting spark because the tester that i have doesnt work for these car. how can i check to see if im getting spark or not or what eals can it be why isn't starting. thanks
