Hello there,
Ive recently (within the past 2 weeks) discovered that my VW golf 1.6 FSI is having some serious acceleration problems.
Basically if i put my foot down to any extent the 'exhaust fault' flashes on the screen which i read up on and its basically to do with 'misfiring'. But its not misfiring im sure. It happens around 2000RPM. If i accelerate in 2nd 3rd or 4th between 20 and 50mph then the car shudders like im about to stall and the revs wont move and it feels like something is pulling me to slow me down!
Can anyone help!
The exhaust fault will only stay on for about 10 or 15 seconds if i put my foot right down. In higher gears it remains fine? Just the 2nd and 3rd gear is noticable?
