I drive a Jetta right now and love it and totally embrace VW now and the awards and accolations the MKV GTI has accumulated so it was naturally my first choice for my next car, but it's a little big and heavy and I've always liked the rest of these cars too and I wanna stay around $18K or less so obviously used. I like the cargo space of the GTI to fill with subs, but I like the prestige of the Boxster and the fun, style and handling of the RX8. Plus I don't even know what all else is out there. Yes I'm sure I'm gonna hear Civic Si and they're ok, but I don't wanna run around at redline to go fast. And hopefully something certified with warranty. And if it's not too much, something with the amazing build quality of my MKV jetta.
I love the used 3 series, just the interior design turns me off a lil, and I think the 1 is a bit out of my price range....
GTI's cheapest? I thought they were a lil more than the other imports, I'm talkin MK V or VI btw, and ya I considered the Z too just forgot to mention it. And yes, anchorman, the new Jettas are amazing course it's just an opinion, Ive driven hondas and a lot of other new cars, n the Jetta/Audi was the only one that reminded me of BMW have you driven a CC?

I don't like any of the cars you mentioned. I used to like the boxster until I read that many of them had an engine problem in the most recent car and driver. I think you should try out a bmw 1 or 3 series. If you think a VW is "amazing build quality" then a BMW would pretty much make you splooge your pants

GTI since it's the cheapest
Mazda for the reliability
Porsche for the funnest ride?

hyundai genesis coupe, gets the best of all those.
nissan 350z
infiniti g35 coupe
