VW polo 85k but no cambelt change?

Ive been looking at purchasing a run around car just to get me buy for the next 6 months or so. Ive had a look at a 1.6 polo and a 1.0. The 1.6 had done 85k but had no service history and no cambelt change (its supposed to be replaced every 60,000 miles). I have a choice between that and a 1.0 polo. THe 1.0 has no cambelt change either, same price, same mileage (slightly cheaper to insure) but had its cambelt checked in a recent service and was not needed to be replaced.

I dont know if the fact it was checked is good enough, since it should have ideally been replaced already. Should i go for the 1.0 or the 1.6???
