Watch my.avi files on TV without having to burn them to disk&watch them

through my DivX Compatible DVD Player? I have an LG DVD Player that plays .avi files.

I hate having to burn all my files to disk in order to watch them off of my computer.

What are multimedia options for watching .avi/ .mpg/ .mp3/ etc. multimedia files on a normal TV?

Thanks for any info you can provide.
