Wax Worms (Leopard Gecko)?

I realise that wax worms are fattening for leo's and that the nutritional value isn't too great.

However, I'm trying to fatten my gecko up as his tail is a little thin. It's nothing serious, but it's not quite as chunky as it should be.
Am I okay mixing wax worms with mealworms more regularly than I would if they were being given as a 'treat'?
