...and now she wont stop crying ? she hides under the couches and anywhere she can fit and cries and cries, she comes to me sometimes but i have to catch her, she is pretty scared of us, how can we tame her and get her to stop crying.
Don't worry, she's just a baby, and baby's cry, Imagine... everything she knew is gone now, other kittens and cats, her mom, her environment has changed. She's just confused and scared. Don't chase her, just sit quietly next to where she is hiding. Eventually she will come to you, offer her a treat, and when you hold her stay calm, animals can read our energy, and just love her, and she will love you back, but give it time.
yes the kitten sounds scared. she probably doesnt understand the big change that has just happened to her. you may want to keep her in the bathroom so she cant just go and hide. that way u can interact with her a lot, so she gets used to u and understand that u care and wont hurt her. after u have gained her confidence, you can start to let her out to play with u for a while. give her yummy food and treat so she knows where the good stuff comes from. get some balls and feather wand etc and show her how to play. kittens love to play. it will take a little time but is well worth the effort. the main thing is to put her somewhere that she just cant hide for now. the rest will come a little at a time.
