Hmmm... yeah it's been a bit slow. I'm wrapped in projects so I didn't manage to get to the 'weight' sketch even. Yikes. But... a few thoughts... 1) If it becomes just the random catch-all thread for art... not maybe such a great idea as - then it's just a showcase of what people are doing. Not so sure that really fits what I had in mind when I started it. I was hoping for something a bit more structured. I'm actually doing a similar thing with a friend who is an illustrator and we are going for much more random words, concepts and colloquialisms. We could go that route here as well... for example... we recently did 'When pigs fly' as a phrase that we had to illustrate... and we did the word 'resplendent' as the single word we had to illustrate. 2) If people are posting up art then we should arrive at some parameters. The best is to host the sketches off the site... with a Flikr or other similar account. If for some reason they are posted on here... the best would be to post them at 72DPI as a JPG or PNG attatchment. They should be sensible scans or decent photos. It doesn't really do anyone any good if they are taken on blurry, low quality cell phone settings. In this day and age it's not that hard to A) get access to a scanner... B) set your cell phone to better settings C) use a digital camera that has decent settings... I'm open to ideas and suggestions. I'd like to get the thread back on track with a few more posts of sketches. More sketch less chit chat... ... but will be interested to hear peoples opinions and ideas.
