This started happening on my 04 R6 about two days ago. It does it when stopped and when riding. Riding it's a little harder to hear because the bike itself is so loud. But anyway, for stopping... you can keep your feet on the ground and move the handlebars from left to right or vise versa and you hear a squealing sound that comes from the center of the handlebars or somewhere around there. It does it when the clutch is in and when it's out also. Just kind of randomly happened and now I am listening for it whenever I turn. Doesn't affect the bike really at all. Still has unbelievable performance, really smooth and I'm thrilled for how the bike operates. Just wondering if you would have any idea of what that noise is. Thanks. It is very minor. But nothing internally from where my ears direct me. Coming from in front of the gas tank which leads directly to the center of the handlebars. Hard to diagnose but it does enhance it's sound after riding rather than checking it if the bike hasn't been ridden in a few hours. Stopping at a stop light would be a good example when I hear it the loudest. Thank you for your suggestions.
