[QUOTE="greeneyedqt, post: 2022240, member: 731493"] before a child could be involved in any activity they have to be potty trained, so i would say 3 at the earliest. i used to take dancing school and most of the children started at 3, so i think 3-4 is a normal age to begin activities like dance, gymnastics, music lessons. you can try activities at your local library. i work for a public library and the childrens librarian does read alouds once a week, as well as crafts on a regular basis. its a great way for him to meet new kids and to start an interest in reading. i would suggest visiting your local library and seeing what programs they have available for children. and the normal age to start preschool is four.
