If the previous owner used mostly a good synthetic oil, there should be a lot of life left in this car. The bottom end (block, crank and pistons) should last indefinitely. The vulnerability is in the alloy head (like nearly all modern cars) Replace the fan switch as a matter of course and age to protect engine from over-heating. Use only genuine Mazda coolant. Have the trans fluid changed by the dealership. They will use the proper fluid and filter. I would go for it with this understanding.
