I recently purchased a repossessed property, I viewed it and was happy with the condition. When it came time to complete on the sale, a new door was fitted by the seller. After the sale I noticed the door was substandard and asked why it had been changed and if I could invoke the warranty provided with the door in order to have it inspected.
I am now in a position where the seller accepts no responsibility, stating that it is a legal matter and the company who carried out the work accept no responsibility because the work was completed for the seller and not for me.
What is my legal standpoint and who is responsible for the fault with the door?
Also, do I have any rights to a warrenty for the work completed, since I am the end user?
