What are some adult books with the most twisted/unexpected endings?

I am mostly interested in horror/thriller/mystery and would like to find a good summer reading books that has many cliff hangers and is a page turner as well as having a very twisted/unexpected ending?
My favorite authors are (King, Koontz, Patterson) and my favorite movies are (Sixth Sense and Misery. I also liked Hide and Seek)

The Witching Hour by Anne Rice. I haven't finished it, but my mom says it's really good.
