I have an 05 Ford Escape that's starting to go bad on me, so I'm in the market for a new car. Ideally, I'd want to get a Mustang, but because I live in Iowa I'd have to have a car for winter too, and that's just not plausible right now. So I'd like to stick to an SUV. If it were my choice, I'd get the Cadillac SRX Crossover, because it looks so damn sexy, and the interior seems classy too. Unfortunately, it's way out of my price range, as my dad's paying for most of it (I go off to college next year, it's my graduation gift).
So what are some more reasonably-priced SUV's that can still be considered "cool"? I won't give an exact price range, as I can be somewhat flexible on price, just nothing ridiculous like the Cadillac. I want the car to be somewhat sporty, but still flexible in all weather conditions (4-wheel-drive, etc). Thoughts?
