What are some decent vampire books?

I need help with finding my step-daughter some good books. Leaning towards the vampire thing., since that is her recent kick right now. She's 24 and loved the Twilight saga, House of Night series and Vampire Diaries. I read the Twilight books too and enjoyed them. I'd find it easier to pick them out, but my general taste in vampires is different than hers. So every time I find something interesting, I'm guessing she won't like it. But, on the same note, I want to read them when she's done. My taste is Vampire Chronicles, Salem's Lot, and yes, as I stated, Twilight, etc.. (aint I naughty? wink wink) I've looked at so many books that my brain is turning to mush. At a loss now and need help.

Note: If you can't handle giving a real answer to my question, don't bother. Everybody is entitled to their opnion, but I'm not looking for b.s. remarks. I WILL report you if knock me or anybody that gives a decent answer. Joking around is one thing, being a jerk is another.

I love reading vampire novels. You say that she's 24 so you don't have to worry about scary stuff so anything vampire will really work.

Anne Rice's Interview with a Vampire is very good. So is The Vampire Lestat, The Queen of the Damned...other books in this collection are great...well up until they turned religious and boring...as with Memnoc the Devil...boring.

The author of Vampire Diaries has written many other good books. The series called Night World is great...but it isn't completely about vampires. It's also about witches, werewolves, and shape shifters but still a good read.

I was never able to read these books because watching the show was easier and made the books a little redundant...but the True Blood books are supposed to be good...according to my Mom and brother.

While I don't know these books, The author Amelia Atwater-Rhodes is a great author and some searching tells me that she has written some vampire novels.

Ummm...I don't really know anymore books off the top of my head but this website lists a ton of books about vampires...you're bound to find something good.
