What are some interesting topics for 7th and 8th graders to talk about?

My science teacher said for our homework this weekend, we had to come up with a topic (that doesn't have to do with science) that would be interesting for our class to talk about. Our class consists of 7th and 8th graders. Thanks! <3 =]
Actually, I think it should be more of a like...interesting discussion topic. Like my friend said something about teen pregnancy which actually think is a bit weird to talk about and that people wouldn't find it interesting. So that's why I need answers! lol Any other ideas?
 
What do you talk about when you're not in class? Music, TV, movies, family, school, and each other. You want to avoid gossip and hurting anyone, but you can come up with something you're interested in. How about vampires?
