What are some interesting topics for a paper about Irish Music?

I have to write a 10-15 page paper on anything that regards Irish music. I am particularly interested in violin because I have played it for many years being inspired by Riverdance. Is there any relationship between the two ?

im not sure about the riverdance but irish step dancing is very big
