What are some style tips for decorating a bedroom for a professional woman

in her 20s? I'm graduating next year and have to move home. My bedroom at home is still quite childish and very cluttered. Since I'm going to (hopefully) have a professional job, I'd like a room to match, that I feel comfortable in until I can find a house of my own.

I'm not allowed to decorate, so I'm going to have to stick with purple/lilac walls, a cream carpet and mainly wooden furniture. But apart from that, do you have any tips or ideas on how a room for a professional woman in her 20s should look?

Glue mirrors on the ceiling. Red Satin sheets. Red drapes. A white bearskin rug.
 
keep it childish, you wont stay home for too long, but you will miss your little bedroom when you grow up
