What are some writing apps for iPad?

I want to get an ipad and I'm also attaching a keyboard to it, mainly for portable and quick reasons while I'm writing. Are there any apps I can get for iPad that work for typing? I know it comes with notes, but I don't really prefer the font it comes in. I also know they don't have an app for Microsoft Office.
Are there any better apps for writing?
