What are the best iPad apps for an elderly man?

My grandfather is handicapped after a series of operations. For his amusement he bought an iPad 2. What apps are good for an elderly man? The app must be easy to control. I was thinking of a news app, or history app, or anything educational. He is interested in about anything.

An app for the elderly

I know this is a few months after you posted, but I run a little tech startup that makes an iPad app aimed at elderly people, and has features for people with poor dexterity, eyesight etc. It lets them receive photos, videos, YouTubes and messages from their loved ones, and doesn't require any previous computer experience at all.
