what are then benefits of seeding in BitTorrent?

i realli want to know what is the benefits for seeding on BitTorrent or Utorrent, i mean do you get any good speed?

my down speed at the moment is going 6.4k/s and then it goes higher like 55 or 96 and thennn comes back downn and download gets realli sloww

i am receiveing 7mb/s on my connection speeed!

some clients limit your download speed if your upload speed isn't a certain minimum, to keep it fair. Otherwise seeding just helps the community. If you use too much upload it can actually slow down your download, but with as low as 55/96 it sounds like there aren't many seeders for whatever you're downloading.
