What are your favorite outdoors use knives?

For hiking, skinning, survival, etc. Why do you like your particular knife/ knives?

My Gerber Profile II and my Ka-Bar original combat with synthetic green handle and solid sheath. My Gerber has been my favorite knife since I got it and I can put a great edge on it and it'll hold it for quite a while. My Ka-Bar because it is the time tested combat knife and it makes a great survival blade.

Cold Steel carbon V master hunter, no longer made unfortunatly. would like to get my hands on some ESEE blades as well someday.

I had a Ken Onion designed Kershaw. Don't recall the model name but it had a 3 1/2" semi serrated blade. That thing lasted me through anything and everything-until I dropped it in a 20' trench at work filled with water. I pumped the trench dry looking for it but never found it. Very sad.

After that I like my pre chink made Gerber Gators.

old carbon butcher knifes are my favorite....easy to sharpen and they wont break.

buck 110 folder it stay sharp and the blade is a good length for any job
