I have some issues w/ abandonment and being replaced and comparing myself to other ppl. The problem i'm having now is that these insecurities come up and instead of trying to talk them out i start fights w/ my gf to the point where we need to give each other a break from each other.
Ok so my gf and I have been dating off and on now for about 3 yrs. I say off and on b/c we broke up for a 4 month period last spring over a fight and she started dating a new guy 3 weeks later. She dated this new guy for 2 months then broke up w/ him and we decided to get back together after talking everything out for a month or so. Anyway we are both in college now, different colleges, and are about 40 min apart. We both have busy schedules, i'll say she has the busier one though just b/c she is involved in dance and cheerleading which practice frequently. I'm very much in love w/ her and i know she loves me too but I can't help but feel insecure when it comes to our relationship. I find her very attractive and a wonderful person and i don't think highly of myself. I don't understand really why she is w/ me and I've always had some trouble understanding that. I have some issues w/ abandonment and being replaced and comparing myself to other ppl. The problem i'm having now is that these insecurities come up and instead of trying to talk them out i start fights w/ my gf to the point where we need to give each other a break from each other. Idk what to do to help myself. I love my gf so much and i don't want to lose her but i feel like i need to do something about myself in order to keep her. Any advice?
