My husband bought me a ball python a few weeks ago and just shed last night. It wasn't a good shed, though. It kind of just flaked off in big pieces, but not all of it. I know that this has to do with humidity. I spray his tank several times a day, and he has his big water bowl too. I don't know what else to do to keep the humidity up. Also, I tried soaking him before his shed, because I read that soaking will help him shed better. One problem with that though. My python HATES water. I made sure it was lukewarm water, and just an inch or two, and as soon as he touched the water, he got out as fast as he possibly could. I dont know what to do now. I know it's very bad for him to have bits of old skin still on him. Any suggestions?
