So right now i've only been into dubstep for a short time, but I've had a passion for music my whole life. I'm sort of in the position where you could just call this a phase but I really have a love like no other for wanting to make dubstep and techno. This is something I really want to peruse so I was wondering what I could do to learn? I know a lot of the great musicians taught themselves but I think It might be a good idea to find a group and work for them, watching them mix and what not. I really don't know much about how dubstep is made but something about it always makes me want to mix beats and throw in different lines and such. I can play a few instruments so that shouldn't be a problem, I played around with ableton live and i've made some beats and what not. Could I get a list of equipment one needs and a basic idea of how all the mixing works, and what I could do to learn how to mix?
