I am making a synthetic hairpiece for a costume, and I want it to stay the same style for ever. I know I can put hairspray and hair gel on synthetic hair, but it won't hold the style forever, and eventually I'd have to restyle it. I know I can hold the hair over steaming water to help heat it and shape it, but is there something I can put on the hair in order for it to hold that style forever, maybe some kind of glue I can comb into the hair before heat-shaping it? or some kind of clear coat or protective spray I can spray on that won't affect the way the hair looks, but hold it in place indefinitely?
