I use Windows 7 (64 bit OS) AMD Athlon(tm) 64 S2 Dual Core Processor 4000+ 2.11 GHz 4 GB RAM I have all the following in my Uninstall list: Microsoft .NET Framework 1.1 Microsoft .NET Framework4 Client Profile Microsoft .NET Framework4 Extended Microsoft Intellipoint 8.2 Microsoft Visual C++ 2005 Redistributable Microsoft Visual C++ 2005 Redistributable (x64) Microsoft Visual C++ 2005 Redistributable (x64) [yes, i have it twice] Microsoft Visual C++ 2008 Redistributable - x64 9.0.30729.17 Microsoft Visual C++ 2008 Redistributable - x64 9.0.30729.6161 Microsoft Visual C++ 2008 Redistributable - x86 9.0.21022 Microsoft Visual C++ 2008 Redistributable - x86 9.0.30729 Microsoft Visual C++ 2008 Redistributable - x86 9.0.30729.17 Microsoft Visual C++ 2008 Redistributable - x86 9.0.30729.6161 Microsoft Visual C++ 2010 x64 Redistributable - 10.0.30319 Now, regarding Microsoft Visual, what I think is that I will probably only need the last one (Microsoft Visual C++ 2010 x64 Redistributable - 10.0.30319) as, according to me, it covers all of the rest within it. We all know Microsoft's greedy nature to take up as much RAM space as it can for it's own applications. Hence I want to remove what I don't need. I typically need my PC for gaming, surfing the net and the occasional Windows office applications. I do not need it for scripting, software developing and the likes. So, as per my needs, which of the above applications can I afford to uninstall?
