my mom has been experiencing difficulties in swallowing occasionally these past few days. she told me that she sometimes feel that something's blocking her throat passage whan she swallows normal amounts of food and describes an accompanying sensation of "as if swallowing something very hot". she further describes that this "hot sensation" travels from the back of her tongue through her esophagus and down to her stomach (like it follows the lump of food as it travels from her mouth down to her stomach). whenever this happens, she says that she noticed it to be accompanied by a slight difficulty in breathing and slight sweating. does this indicate any problems with the esopagus? or could it be an indication of any other ailment? she's 51 years old with a blood pressure reading of 120/70.
