What changed when the verizon kin one and kin two went from a smartphone...

...to a feature phone? was there any changes?? good or bad? cause i am getting the kin 2 for christmas and i wanna know what changed?
 
Nothing other than you no longer need a data plan to use the phone. (the parts that require data connection were either removed or have a on/off switch added or are smarter and work offline)
