I bought the truck in October 06.. with just shy of 22k miles on it. Today it sits at 51k miles and for the most part im very satisfied with it. Heres my problem
For about 6 months i drove from VA to NC to visit my old girlfriend. Same route for months every weekend, I got to know how my truck runs VERY well. I used to be able to do 75ish at 1500-1600 rpm...now to do that speed its like 1900-2000. My gas mileage seems to be the same, and it doesnt run any hotter. The only other thing thats different at all is it sometimes jumps a bit when shifting gears ( its automatic). I have changed the oil every 2500-3100 miles, BUT i do still have the original tires on it ( wranglers going strong!)
ive heard tranny flush ( but also hear that can make it worse)
ive heard new tires will have a bigger diameter, which helps( but not with the jumping?)
...any ideas? I dont feel like talking to a mechanic, I live where Nascar started, they all tend to just get on my nerves...
I understand it could be a few things, when it comes to engines im in the wrong place, gimme a damn miter saw and ill show you a miracle lol...what I wanna know I guess is whats my best option for what I should do first? because obviously some things cost way more then others
