What do I cook for my boss' holiday party?

I've been going to my boss' holiday party for 5 years. This is the first time it is a "pot luck" party. I was asked to bring an entree to feed 6 people. I have NO idea what to bring. Do I make chili, mashed potatoes, or an actual meal like beef and potatoes??? I have no clue. Please help.
