What do I do about a Facebook rumour that I'm going out with this nerd?

Please I'm only 13? OK. Last night on Facebook I was talking to this guy named Alex. We are sort of friends. I know he likes me and he has for ages, but I don't like him in that way. He asked me out over Facebook. I said "let me think about it, I'm not sure" because I had no idea. I didn't wanna hurt his feelings. Then when I got to school today everyone started asking me if it was true I was going out with him. I said no. He was telling everyone we were even though I was gonna tell him no. He's a really nerdy guy (but that's not the reason I don't like him, I have nothing against nerds). What do I do now? It's all over Facebook!
He is someone I know and not stalking me for goodness sake, just saying we're dating when we are not.
