envy scare you equally? I was raised in a Republican house. Very well-to-do, and of course, I went on to become successful and have the same ideals--until a few years ago. When the Republicans introduced Palin as McCain's running mate--no qualifications, just because she was a woman, and they wanted to buy into Hilary resentment in the most obvious way possible.
This led me to a realization, that the conservatives really were just out for people like me, and didn't care how they got there. So I changed sides a bit, but I'm seeing a lot of entitlement over here. This prevailing notion that everyone owes you everything. Sure, it's understandable that we can't let people starve--but shouldn't we, as payment for our help, require you to do some things? Like look for labor, or pay something into it with community service?
Yes this is looking like a rant.
But I want everyone's perspective. I'm jaded, just as I'm sure every one of you really are. What do you guys really think the best thing that can be done is?
