This is only a random question I am asking based on my interests of railway stations. But I am asking for, what you think, is the best and worst train station on the Melbourne railway network. And if you have been travelling on trains for years, you can even add a train station that is currently closed and no longer a station. But you have to say a station other than one in the City Loop. If you do, you will also have to mention a non-City Loop station. Anyway, if you are having trouble thinking of a worst railway station, a bad railway station would include the following: -High levels of vandalism around the station (graffiti, smashed windows, broken metcard machines, etc.) -Very poor facilities/facility standards (eg: bad sheltering, disgusting toilets, etc.) -Run-down infrastructure (run-down building structure) -Poor layouts -Very poor levels of cleanliness -Unmanned stations -If manned, bad service -Looks of the station -Accessibility to the platforms (eg. takes a long time to reach the platforms, no quick entrance to the platform, etc.) Requirements like that would match a terrible railway station. Now to, what you think, is the best railway station. A good railway station would match these requirements. -High levels of cleanliness -Very high amenities (eg. good sheltering, clean toilets, etc.) -New and improved building design -Original and good-looking layouts -Manned station from first train to last -Good and helpfully nice service -(If you like) A premium or host station (Premium stations are of higher quality.). -Good accessibility to the platforms (Quick entrances to the platforms, if an island platform, a very safe pedestrian crossing, etc.) -A highly safe station They would match a good station's requirements. Personally, I'll tell you my favourite and least favourite stations. FAVOURITE STATION IN CITY LOOP: Mine is Southern Cross. The main reason why I choose that station is because the layout is good and original. It is huge and has lots of room inside the station. It serves V/Line trains as well as suburban ones and interstate trains which is an advantage towards the other stations. It is also the station with the most used platforms and has no disused ones which is why my vote is for Southern Cross. FAVOURITE STATION OTHER THAN A CITY LOOP STATION: My favourite is Richmond because I love how it has 10 platforms and the layout and look of the station is new and original and fancy. It has my vote also because of it's facilities as well as it has lots. That's why my vote for Richmond. LEAST FAVOURITE STATION: I can't stop thinking about how horrible that Deer Park station is. Very disgusting and needs to have more facilities. It seriously has unsealed car-parking, platform at rail level, just 1 little "bus-stop like shelter" and only 1 platform and the location looks disgusting as it is located in a deserted and boring old area. It needs improvement real bad. It is not even a host or premium station! It just proves how bad some stations can turn out to be. Now it's your turn to answer :). Happy answering!
