What Do You Think Of The Bisexual Trend?

Have you noticed that a lot of punk rocker and ghetto style high school students are saying that they are TURNING bi? What the hell is this?!?!?!!? You can't TURN bi !!! You're born that way !!!! Personally, I think this trend is a slap in the face and a mockery to people who really are bisexual/gay/lesbian ! Why? Because this people are only doing this to look "cool" and fit in socially. But what about the people who grew up not straight? We had to struggle with accepting ourselves growing up because we didn't know what the hell was wrong with us !!!!!! This whole trend has really taken a tug at my heart strings because I had to grow up like this, I was born this way. I didn't wake up one morning and decide I was going to like girls. It was a struggle for years !! I even forced myself to start liking boys at the age of 13 because I thought something was really wrong !! And now only my closest friends know my secret because of this trend. I don't want people to think I "turned" bi to follow a trend !!! And also, if I tell people who aren't my friends, I'll have a lot of fake bisexuals and fake lesbians hitting on me !!!!

So what is your thoughts on the bisexual trend?
I'm not saying there aren't real bisexuals, I'm just saying not all of them are !! Some of them... A LOT of them are using it as a trend outlet !!! It's not right !!

i noticed this trend a while ago. its true... there are bi girls that are really bi, not really (just for attention), or simply confused. And sometimes it is pretty easy to figure out who is faking it.

i noticed it growing when katy perry was beginning to be a hit. with i kissed a girl...

I don't know that one is "born" bi. But I do think that life experiences shape one's sexuality. which doesn't mean that one day one just decides, "i'm bi." but yeah. that is a slap in the face. i'm still struggling with my sexuality. i don't know if i'm straight and willing to experiment, bicurious, or straight up bisexual. i find it easier to "not label myself." but anyone who puts on a show of liking the same sex for attention or "to be cool" is just bullsh*t.

the bisexual trend will die down, i'm sure. the bottom line is, you can't fake your sexuality.

I am a 61 yo male (don't puke there boys and girls !) and bisexual since 19, 2nd year of college. I used to get in fights after I moved here because some trusted relative let this out...good thing I had my 5 years in the Marine Corps and they never bugged me twice. Frankly, I am thrilled that more people are saying they are bisexual....takes the heat off of ME, and I Thank You sincerely.

Whether or not someone REALLY is bi, like who cares ? It is hard for me to understand why anyone wants to tell everyone they are bi if they in fact are not ? Like, wtf ? I think women are the best, but I like having sex with guys...it's great. I hope more folks turn or come out as bisexual....the odds may get better yet and no one is going to care if someone is or is not.....and that's fine with me, fer sure.
