It came like a shock. It sent shivers and chills throughout my veins, and ran deep into my blood. The injection, they said, would relieve my insanity. I tried to move, but the chair in which I was restrained to only forced me to look at the blinding lights above. It was impossible to make out where I lay, but this was for sure: I didn't want to be there.

I had overheard of their plans. A test subject, a rat; that's what they thought of me. I knew. If this injection didn't function, I would be disposed of.

I screamed for dear life, hoping that a soul with a rational mind would come and save me from the clutches of The Evil Scientists. But alas, that scream in and of itself becomes a weapon for the Scientists, and the weapon would be made to taint those clean souls.

"See there," the scientist would lean over to the clean soul, "This scream proves he is crazy. All we're doing is giving him a cure."

I screamed one more time, but this time it wasn't in hope for rescue.
