I bought some blank CD's that were 80 min long and they were CD-R. So, I tried to burn onto them and it would only let me burn like 6 songs. It never said how many MB it has but I know it probably holds about 700 MB. But there's no way 6 songs were 80 min or 700 MB. On the package, it says, "For WALKMAN use" Does anyone know what that is? Yeah, and I want to know what CD-R means and if it makes a difference to how many songs I can put on the discs. Thanks!!!! <3 <3 <3 <3

CD-R means Compact Disc-Recordable. This is as opposed to a CD-RW, which means Compact Disc-Recordable, re-Writable, meaning that you can record data or music on the disc and then record over that data and use the disc again.

A WALKMAN is a portable player made by Sony. Originally they were portable cassette tape players, but Sony eventually made them for playing Discs too. The name Walkman got to be used in general for portable players of this type, much in the same way that people will say "Hand me a Kleenex." instead of "Hand me a tissue."

I'm not sure why you're only able to record six songs on these discs. It may have something to do with the burning software you are using or what format it's being saved in.

CD-R is Compact Disc - Recordable. It should say on the box how many megabytes it holds, but standard 5 inch discs usually hold 650 or 700. All blank CDs are either CD-R or CD-RW. CD-RWs can be erased and rewritten. A Walkman is a Sony portable cassette player.
