What does it mean when a guy tells you about his future plans?

My friend always tells me about his plans, like where he would go in vacation, about his mom, his problems. The thing is I like him so much, and I am not sure if he also likes me?
I can't actually base it on his actions because he is miles away from me as of now.
 
To me it sound that he likes you but I could be wrong. I talked about all the same things with my bf before we started dating. I really liked him before.
