What does the field of nutrition entail?

I'm considering going into nutrition to become a nutritionist. I am wondering about the schooling that i will need to go through to take this. How many years does it usually take? What type of classes do you have to take? Also, what is a normal day like for a nutritionist and what are their main responsibilities?
