What else Can I do to get closer to Jesus Christ!?

-I'm only 15 & I have not yet been baptized & my parents don't let me go to church (There strict Hindu's).
-I try to read the bible but the words are kinda hard to understand

So what else is there left to do? Should I learn bout Jesus's life!?

Mmmm....on yahoo look for a Christian bible study online group.....you can learn from there...they have online studies and you can join in on the conversation also
 
What would you do to get closer with your girlfriend (if you are a boy) /boyfriend (if you are a girl) that you love very much?

Is not talking to her/him as much as and as long as possible is a good way of getting closer acquaintances.

Is not introducing her/him to all of your friends will be a good idea to make her/him happy?

Likewise with Jesus.
 
Walk into any Christian church rectory, and ask the priest or minister for advice. Yes you are right, the Bible is hard to understand, and I dont believe it was written for everyone to understand, or there would not be interpreters. Go into the book store, under religion, and learn about the life of Jesus, until you are eighteen and can be what ever you choose to be.

It is in contemporay language. Don't let your parents get you down. You should totally keep reading the Bible and learning about Jesus' life. May God bless you and grant you understanding!!
 
I'd suggest starting with the parables or those stories like Jesus and Lazarus or Jesus and the moneychangers. Think about the main lesson of each and then how you practice that same kind of life that Jesus shows us is possible. Talk to your friends who are Christian about what they do for inspiration. Pray for a closer relationship with the Lord.
