TX-SR605 Home theater system? ? I'm looking to hook my PC up to the receiver, but I need to make sure I can assign the digital Toslink audio connection to the HDMI video connection because the audio portion wont be transferred from my PC's DVI to HDMI connection to the receiver. I was wondering if any one new it the term assignable meant I can assign a separate audio channel along side the HDMI connection? ----- http://www.avland.co.uk/onkyo/txsr605/rearlrg.jpg -----

Assignable, meaning whatever input you choose, such as HDMI 1, or HDMI 2, then your optical input will be assigned to only work on which ever input you choose. You will need to be on your HDMI input when you have your reciever hooked up, and then assign your optical input to the HDMI input you choose. You can do this on the small display on the onkyo itself, or run a seperate composite cable to your tv and use the on screen set up. I believe on the 605 you can not access on screen setup through HDMI, however i may be wrong...90% sure though...hope this helps.
